Sunshine Blogger Award

So I was recently nominated for the SunShine Blogger award by the wonderful Sunken Thought. I haven’t been writing very much lately, or visiting other blogs, so it’s always am happy surprise to see a nomination like this!

So the Sunshine blogger award…I’m not sure how much I actually deserve it, I’m not particularly the most inspirational blogger, or the most consistent, not that I’m going to refuse an award.

So Sunken thought is perhaps one of my more regular readers, and we always have fairly interesting conversations with one another. The blog itself is creative like mine, so if you like creative writing, that’s a place to visit 🙂

Here are The Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Answer 11 questions set by the person who nominated you .
  • Nominate 11 bloggers to receive the award.
  • Write 11 new questions for them to answer.

If you could sum yourself up into one single word, what would that word be and why?

    • What is it that drew you to the world of blogging?
      • It was suggested to me by an editor. I was told as an inspiring novelist, I need to make a name for myself online, which is true.
    • What was your intention for your blog, and have you strayed from your original ideas?
      • I don’t think so.I originally was only going to write creatively and write book reviews, and I’ve mostly stuck to that.
    • Do you enjoy being apart of a large blogging community? Why/Why Not?
      • It’s amazing if you can keep with the commitments. Blogging is an award in itself, the community just makes it even better.
    • Who is someone that inspires you? How do they inspire you?
      • I guess my friends? I look at them a bit resentfully. They’re all moving on with their life, getting jobs in the fields they want (or don’t want) whilst I’m still struggling. I guess I want to prove it to them and my family and that’s what inspires me.
    • Sun, rain, or snow? Why?
      • Snow. I love in Australia and snowsports is something that is reserved for those that can afford it. It’s incredibly expensive, but I’ve been skiing since I was young, and it’s perhaps my favourite sport ever! Can’t ski without snow.
    • If you had the option to change one aspect of your blog, what would it be? Why?
      • How regularly I post. I used to post everyday but I found it difficult to keep up with lifes commitments, creative writing competitions, and my very neglected novel.
    • What is one of your favorite blog pages to read?
      • I don’t have a favourite, but I do enjoy reading writing tips. Perhaps because it’s the most relevant to my skillset, but a close second would be creative writings of all varieties.
    • Do you prefer to write long posts, or short?
      • I prefer to keep my posts less than a thousand words. A thousand words for the average reader is about five minutes, and I don’t think people really want to spend longer then that when there’s many other amazing things to read on wordpress.
    • Giraffe, zebra, or horse? Why?
      • Giraffe because equines are too mainstream. Imagine riding a giraffe, how much cooler than a horse would that be??
    • Can you pat your head while rubbing your belly?
      • Yes I can. I will shamefully admit I just did to prove it.

So, the Eleven People I nominate 🙂

These are all people I regularly follow, so I recommend them all whole heartedly. Enjoy

My Questions

  6. If you could tell one thing to your high-school self, what would it be?

  2. Congratulations and thanks for the nomination. I enjoyed your answers. I would pick sun for the sun or snow question. After living in a snowy place for almost a decade, I’m tired of snow and ready for some sun.

  3. You are an inspiration 🙂 You just don’t know it. 😉 I loved reading your answers! Made me giggle when you said you actually did pat your head while rubbing your tummy just to prove it! As always, lovely to see something from you. Best of luck managing life and the rest of the world. 🙂
